Hey, you live and learn. Bought an expensive Asus board from some kid advertising on Kijiji. Went out to the next city next to mine, bought it. Looked Ok, obviously no way to check it there in the parking lot of a mall where me met. That was this past winter. Finally built the new PC this past week.
The motherboard is toast.
