footage stolen with matte painting???

hi there
there are plenty of footage that have been posted here and in cgpeers
but we are well awared that we can't use them because they are stolen
so i was questionning myself : with a matte painting on these videos like a house in the background or anything like that could we use these videos for our works ?

sometimes these footage are really expensive like 500$ with artbeats videos

so any advices??
