LIDAR sources, Airborne Laserscan Data, highres DEM

Hi,

anyone knows of good and free or cheap source for highres DEM-Data (Digital elevation model) - like LIDAR data - Airborne Laserscanning?

I know the ASTER GDEM source which has a quite good resolution of 1 arcsec nearly all around the world for free - which is very nice.
But i want something much more highres, like 1 hightpoint every meter or 1 point every 5 m.
I would like those DEM data for parts of Germany.

Any hints for good, preferably free sources?
